Updated December 2009

A Glimpse into the Agency

Every quarter, the Cuyahoga Support Enforcement Agency publishes an internal newsletter called the CSEA Chronicles. Members of the staff contribute articles ranging from recipes to sharing information regarding cultural diversity, or wellness. We hope you enjoy the holiday edition of the CSEA Chronicles.

Social Networking as a location tool

Our Agency was honored with a Best Practice Award from the Ohio Child Support Directors' Association at their September 2009 conference. Here is a copy of the Power Point presentation explaining what we did and how we set up the Social Networking Pilot Program within our Agency.

CASH MEDICAL

The implementation of Cash Medical can cause confusion among staff and clients. To help prepare our staff, we began a Cash Medical marketing campaign called “Know About It”. These PDF flyers were sent incrementally to our entire staff through an e-mail attachment and hard copy posted throughout the Agency. The flyers are one page documents which address different Cash Medical issues.

We had two caseworkers and a supervisor who piloted the implementation of Cash Medical for several months before we rolled it out to the rest of the staff. Naturally, this helped us identify issues and challenges and find solutions for a smoother transition of the new Cash Medical law, policies and procedures.

Here are links to view the Cash Medical slide show presented to CSEA employees this year. The original Cash Medical slide show was created by ODJFS, we personalized it to our Agency. We have also included a link to the notes for the slide show. Not all pages have notes.

Child Support Training

In May 2009, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason offered training for anyone who dealt with child support issues. Here are the slide presentations that were given by CSEA staff:
